I think I may be watching too much Criminal Minds.

For those who aren’t familiar with Criminal Minds, it’s about a group of FBI agents who hunt serial killers. So each episode is about the worst of the worst humanity can provide.

Why am I binge watching a show where you know people are going to die and not from zombies or beheadings? The husband and I have been doing a ton of unpacking and cleaning, and it’s a great show to have on in the background. Honestly, whoever makes their sound track is a genius. The music always tells you when it’s really important that you look at the screen. The music swells…and then there’s a severed head. Super easy to just sort-of pay attention to. And I love watching crime shows because no matter how stressed and downtrodden I feel, I am still way better off than that girl on the slab who had all her blood removed.

But here’s where I think I’ve been watching too much and think I might need to switch to Care Bears. (more…)

The Perfect Theme February 6, 2017

I have the pleasure of currently living with roommates I like. I don’t mean to say that I don’t usually like my roommates or even that liking my roommates is a rarity. We all fell in love with West World after one episode, and when we talked about watching the next one, none of us could hum the theme. We knew there were creepy piano hands and a horse, but not really what the notes were. (more…)

Boys in the Bunk House July 11, 2016

So back to Bug Juice.

Along with the poor boy who found out that his summer lovin’ hadn’t really even liked him, there were those who were told they couldn’t be who they were at all.

This is a short but sad story. There’s too much I don’t know about it to write anything lengthy.

There were two boys who had been on the show. It seemed like they were good friends. When they got back to camp the next year, they still spent all their time together. Registering for all the same activities, skipping those activities together. (more…)

I have only ever done one real TV audition. Mostly because I’m a stage actor, and partially because my one TV audition was so traumatizing. I don’t think I could do another without serious therapy. (more…)
