This fine Monday, I want to share with you my gorgeous solstice hike in the land of the midnight sun!

This picture was taken just before midnight.

This is most of the way up Mount Healy in Denali.

And this is the Alpenglow on Mount McKinley itself.

McKinley is only visible a third of the time. And getting to see him on the solstice, glowing with the colors of the sunrise, was a truly humbling experience. I wish I had a funny story to tell you about my midnight solstice hike, but all I have is the wonder of the beautiful land I have the privilege to live in.
