What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stranger

A Hundred Blog Posts Are Up On My Wall! (To be sung to the tune of 100 bottles of beer.) October 21, 2013

Life Beyond Exaggeration has made it to its 100th post! Yay me! And a big thank you to all of you who have been so supportive subscribing to and reading this blog.

It all started on a bus. I was doing the national tour of Fiddler on the Roof, and a friend in the seat behind me told me to start a blog for all of the crazy stories I always told. I really think he was just trying to get me to shut up so he could watch the Spice Girls movie in peace. Or maybe he was concerned about the amount of time I was spending curled up in my sleeping bag under my bus seat with a stuffed Pluto doll on my head.  But I did it anyway.

My husband helped me choose a name and set up the site, and then I started writing. Then came the Facebook page and the Twitter account. Tour ended, and I kept writing my adventures and mishaps down.  And now writing for all of you has become a tri-weekly habit that I can’t imagine going without. Except for the days I want to throw my computer in the woodstove. Then I could live without it.

But then one of you sends a comment. Laughing at one of my stories. Sharing one of your own. Or even giving motherly advice. And I love you all for it. The blog community has welcomed me with open arms, and I could not be more grateful. So here’s to 100 more posts. May I survive the misadventures to come and have many more stories for all of you. L’Chaim.

Except that I worry about all the misadventures, keep them coming.

Just as long as you’re not doing them on purpose. Your life sounds like to much fun.

    Happy anniversary!
